2016 Porsche 911 has made its debut at 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. From what we have seen, it will be a big surprise for all car enthusiasts.

Exterior design and improvements

The brand new 2016 Porsche 911 will undergo some small but noticeable changes inside and out. However, major changes are expected under the hood. The performance will be significantly improved. It will show great driving experience and will be very practical for everyday ride. When it comes to exterior design, new Porsche will go through mid-cycle refresh. This means that it will show some new details all over the body. Both front and rear fascias will be refreshed. On the front end, we will see revised headlamps equipped with four-point daytime running lights. It will get larger air intakes and restyled bumper. The rear lights will be also refreshed. We can expect restyled door handles and redesigned wheels. The rear deck will be refreshed with new vertical louvers.

Design of interior and features

The interior of 2016 Porsche 911 will be upgraded as well. It is not so much about the design but technology features. The cabin is comfortable and made of premium materials. The seats will be wrapped in high quality leather. It will be offered with wider range of upholstery colors. The first thing you’ll notice when you come inside is the brand new PCM – Porsche Communication Management system with navigation. A seven-inch touch screen display will be placed on the center of the dashboard. As for the safety, it will come with lane-departure system, stability control, anti-lock brakes, airbags and so on.

Under the hood of 2016 Porsche 911 will be placed a new 3.0-liter Boxer 6 engine. This engine will be able to make 370 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque. In S model, the output will be 420 horsepower and 368 pound-feet of torque. The engine will be mated to a standard seven-speed manual transmission. However, it will also available with a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox. It will be able to reach 60 mph in about 4 seconds which is really impressive. It will also show better fuel economy than before.

Release date and price

2016 Porsche 911 should be launched sometime in 2016, probably in the beginning of the same year. Speaking of the price, the base model should cost around $89,400. The higher trim levels should go up to $107,000.
