The South Korean automaker has decided to improve one of its most popular small SUV’s. We are talking about the brand new 2016 Hyundai Tucson.

Improvements and design of exterior

2016 Hyundai Tucson will appear with many improvements and refreshments. It will get revised exterior and upgraded interior. It will be better to handle and will show better fuel efficiency. New Hyundai will be offered in four trim levels. Those are: SE, Eco, Sport, and Limited. Speaking of the exterior, it will be larger than its forerunner. It will be longer for 3.0 inches and 1.1 inch wider. This will improve its cabin and cargo space. As for the exterior design, it will be slightly refreshed. The front fascia will feature recognizable hexagonal grille and elongated headlamps which will look very attractive. The rear end will be also slightly revised and will give it masculine look. It will ride on 19-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, 2016 Hyundai Tucson will be larger than before. The cabin will be more spacious and more comfortable. The seats will be covered with cloth or leather. Some of them are: Satellite radio, USB, audio system with six speakers, air conditioning, Bluetooth, rear view camera, cruise control, tilt and telescopic steering wheel etc. As for the safety, it will be provided with airbags, ABS, traction control, stability control, lane change assist, blind-spot warning and so on.

2016 Hyundai Tucson will be offered with two drivetrains. The one is a 2.-liter 4-cylinder engine with direct injection. It will be able to produce 164 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque. It will be paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Estimated fuel efficiency is 23 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. The other one is a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine with direct injection. It will make 175 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. This engine will be mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. As for the fuel economy, it is rated at 26 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway. The power will be sent to front wheels.

2016 Hyundai Tucson should go on sale this summer. As for the price, it is expected to be in a range from $23,000 to $33,000.
