2016 Honda Pilot is a new model of midsize SUV that will appear on the market in four trims: LX, EX, EX-L and Touring. It will bring many improvements.

Exterior Changes and Design

2016 Honda Pilot will share the same platform with Acura MDX but it will be 3 inches longer in the wheelbase and have longer roof which will provide more space and comfort inside, especially for the third-row occupants. Aluminum and other lighter materials used in its construction will make it more fuel economical and will influence its performance. As far as the exterior is concerned, it will retain its square shaped traditional look, but it will be more stylish and modern. Therefore, we expect it to be very wanted and well-liked because of its reputation for being a great family vehicle known for its durability.

Inside, 2016 Honda Pilot will be more spacious thanks to larger platform. It will be able to place even eight passengers in three rows of seats and the access to the third row will be much easier.  The seats are comfortable and front are quite large and supportive so it is great for long rides. The cabin is not only cozy and roomy but functional as well with many modern features. Speaking of the equipment, new LCD screen, air conditioning, audio system with seven speakers, USB, Bluetooth, navigation, DVD entertainment, cruise control and many others are included.

Engine and Transmission

As for the engine of 2016 Honda Pilot, it is said that it will have the same engine that is placed under the hood of the current model. It is a 3.5 liter V6 engine which is able to produce 290 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque. The buyers will have an option between a six-speed automatic and CVT transmission. The power is sent to front wheels, and all-wheel drive is optional.

According to the rumors 2016 Honda Pilot should appear in showrooms in the fall of 2015, and expected price should not differ from the base price of the current model which is around $ 30,700. Its main rivals on the market will be Dodge Durango, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Ford Explorer.
